RazorPlan was developed in an active planning environment while working with real clients, helping us to create the most usable and real-life applicable software on the market. Our development process gives us the ability to add and remove aspects of the software based on viability in actual planning engagements. The end result is a program designed around how planning is actually done and not how it is perceived to be done.

RazorPlan was created in 2011 by Dave Faulkner, CLU, CFP, through his company Financial Plan Advantage Ltd. (FPAdvantage). Dave is a pioneer in the financial planning software industry and the original designer of one of the most well-known financial planning programs available in Canada. FP Advantage later became Razor Logic Systems; in May 2019, Nest Wealth acquired Razor Logic Systems; in 2024, Objectway acquired Nest Wealth.
